Children’s Ministry

We offer childcare for the younger ones (0 - 12yrs), beginning at 9:30 AM on Shabbat mornings and during most special services.

Shabbat Class begins at 9:30 AM Saturday mornings.

Torah Hour begins at 11:15 AM, after the children are dismissed from the Sanctuary service, and runs until the end of the service, usually around noon.

Children will sing songs for a time of worship, pray, dance, develop shul skills, and often do crafts.

They will study the weekly Torah and Haftorah portions as part of a well-researched Messianic program tailored to their age levels.

Tuesday evenings we offer a Children’s Class for ages 5 -12.

Special Events

Hope of Israel offers unique special events for kids, that include Yeshiva Day, Purim, and a Passover Seder.

Yeshiva Day is a special summer program filled with teaching, crafts, and other activities.

Purim is teaching, crafts, and weather permitting outdoor activities.

Kid’s Passover Seder is a yearly event where children have the opportunity to engage in a Passover Seder specifically designed for them. Kids registered for the Passover Seder will experience the all the elements, including a kid friendly dinner.

Mission Statement:

At Hope of Israel, we believe that children are the future leaders of our community and our congregation. It is our responsibility to pass the Word and Truth of Messiah from generation to generation (L’Dor V’Dor), while we develop disciples. Therefore, we include children in our services by providing classes and events for children ages 0 - 12.

The vision of Children’s Ministry is to:

  1. Teach children how to love and enjoy Messiah in order to be disciples that are witnesses to Israel and of Israel.

  2. Train children to be instruments of G-d’s grace, exhibiting love in their thoughts, deeds and words that they may glorify G-d all their days.

  3. Collaborate with parents to equip their children to be active in evangelism, effective in discipleship, and powerful in prayer.

Jenny Grant - Children's Ministry Leader

I joined Hope of Israel Congregation 17 years ago. I have spent most of my career in Education and also in Music. I have the joy of being the Director of the Children’s Ministry in our congregation.I am thrilled to work along with more than fifty talented teachers that volunteer every month. Also, I have the privilege and honor to work with awesome families and dedicated parents that support our children. The purpose of our program is to provide a unique opportunity to stimulate spiritual growth along with deepening our children’s knowledge and self-identity of Yeshua within a Jewish environment.
